A beautiful, well presented accommodation, perfect for a family or couples getaway. The facilities provided are clean, modern and fresh. Amazing shower and great kitchen/dining area. The accommodation is well positioned for exploring the local area. Great host, very responsive to any questions, would stay here again if revisiting the area.

Although converted and fitted to a high specification, it felt unwelcoming and impersonal. Be aware that it is a working farm, it was quite noisy with farm machinery during our stay as there was ongoing work in a nearby barn. The location is good if you wish to visit the wonderful museums and galleries in Bishop Auckland,. Nicely converted barn but feels like it's been done and maintained to a checklist rather than with any real thought. Kitchen missing various essentials like chopping board and sieve (but has toast rack; clearly on a checklist for every cottage everywhere!) Intrusively bright security lights outside all night make the whole place feel like a prison Read moreyard, and shine into rooms. Cleaning under furniture has been missed. Overall it just needs more care; at present it's clearly just a cash generator. Hide

We had a wonderful stay. Much more spacious than I imagined, the kitchen is well equipped and the hot-tub was a huge success with our 2 daughters who loved gazing up at the stars and having a chat at night. We had a day out to Beamish which was just a half hour drive away, our dog loved it too. The farm is just off a busy road so it took us a bit oRead moref time to find a safe walking route. The courtyard with hot-tub is completely enclosed however so it felt private and safe. We'd definitely return! Hide

The cottage was beautiful. There was obviously much time and money spent on converting the barn. It was very clean and very well equipped. No improvements from us. Beautiful place, didnt think it was going to be as big as it is. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival, easy booking and entry to property. 3 minutes drive away to shops, pubs and takeaways. Garden and hot tub was great. The dog also approves, he loved it too. Will be returning at some point.

Lovely cottage, amazing inside just the kind of home you would want for yourself. The hot tub was amazing also if they took 2 dogs we would be back probably every year but having to leave one at home again is not for us.
