This charming period cottage is tucked away in a peaceful position in the heart of the ancient town of Morpeth, which is home to an array of fantastic historic landmarks and cultural attractions. Situated on the banks of the River Wansbeck, which provides a picturesque setting for walks and outdoor activities, the town also boasts a bustling high street. This street is lined with independent shops, cafes, restaurants and a leisure centre with a swimming pool and gym. Visit Carlisle Park with its paddling pool, ancient woodland and tennis courts, or head to Morpeth Common for some walking and cycling routes. There’s also a golf course as well as several parks and green spaces for relaxation and recreation. Morpeth is a great base for exploring the surrounding Northumberland countryside, including the stunning Northumberland National Park and Northumberland Heritage Coast, both of which are only 10 miles away.

Step inside this delightful period cottage into the hall area which is the perfect space to store your outdoor clothing, and then head into the light and bright spacious lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofa after a day out exploring the delights of Morpeth and enjoy a movie on the Smart TV. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well appointed with quality bed linen and towels. Everything you could need for your holiday was provided, the body care products were exceptionally nice. The attention to detail was first class. Parking wasn't too much of an issue, as we made good use of the parking permit, parking outside every day. EasRead morey level access to the local shops, bars and restaurants. Thank you for our enjoyable stay, would recommend the cottage. Hide
