Cosy cottage in the grounds of a Georgian farmhouse with beautiful countryside views, walking and cycle routes from the door and Hexham and Hadrian’s Wall nearby.

Located in stunning walking and cycling country, you will be impressed by the many natural routes there are to explore close by and a local path even takes you into Hexham Racecourse for a fun day out. Visit majestic Hexham Abbey and then head into the bustling market town for a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Stroll along the riverbanks of the sparkling Tyne and spot the leaping salmon in autumn and there are two local golf clubs to try. Drive to the pretty village of Corbridge for some excellent shopping and roam history and a must-visit is Hadrian's Wall at the edge of the National Park.

Enter through the front door into the dual-aspect, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. You will find a comfortable sofa and easy chair with a footstool to relax back on after a day out in the fresh air exploring the area, you can also catch up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals, with a gas oven and a gas hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer and there is even a washer/dryer should you need it. Sit down together at the dining table which has four chairs should you have friends over for dinner. The king-size bedroom is off the main living area and is full of character with a high ceiling and exposed beams. There is also a wardrobe, an en-suite shower and WC.

Outside, there is a patio table and chairs in front of the cottage where you can drink your morning coffee in the sunshine while planning your walking route or trips to visit the local attractions, and you can of course dine alfresco. Just behind the cottage, you will find access three acres of shared parkland for you to walk your dog, enjoy some exercise or simply sit on a blanket with a picnic and watch the sunsets. Parking is off-road to the front of the property.

A very suitable cottage for a couple and their dog, excellent area adjacent field for dog exercise. The cottage contained everything for a comfortable stay. Plenty places of interest to visit.

Runrig was everything we hoped for and more.Julia the owner could not do enough for us to make our stay comfy and enjoyable .We had a lovely Christmas.One of the best Cottages we have stayed at.Hexam is a compact town but it has lots of places to eat ,and big named shops .Wonderful

Very cosy ,comfortable cottage with all amenities .A short drive to Hexham and it was so useful to have the parking permit .All the meals we had in either Hexham or villages nearby were good. So pleased we chose this stunning little cottage. The owner thought of everything you could possibly need to make your holiday comfortable and memorable. From very easy directions to find the location to the most comfortable bed ever. The location is perfect. No noise, no light pollution, a beautifully clean cottage with everything you could need iRead morencluding freezer, fridge washing machine, washing line etc. A good central location for visiting Northumberland. Lovely setting, very clean and has all the facilities you would need, it is worth recommending. The grounds are spacious and offer a place to exercise my dog. It is reasonably close to Hexham which has a variety of supermarkets for any shopping needs.

Partition between cottages needed, flagged areas outside each area, private sunbathing say. Plus some screening from House, windows look down on cottages, not private. Lovely place but for these reasons, we would not go there again or recommend.

The cottage was situated just over a mile from Hexham in the grounds of the owners house .It was comfortable,very quiet and peaceful. The fittings in the cottage were all of a good standard and we would stay again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Lovely little cottage and perfect for a couple and a dog. Beautiful location with fabulous views and very convenient for walking Hadrians Wall, North Pennine AONB, and not far away from the stunning Northumberland Coast.

A very comfortable cottage. Quiet location. Not too far to drive into Hexham. We have never known car parks to be free anywhere. It was great and the owner had left a parking disc for our use which saved time looking for one. A fabulous cottage for two. It was a lovely cottage in a beautiful location, beautiful grounds and very secure having security gates on the drive. The owner was very friendly and even brought over some cake for us! I would thoroughly recommend it and we would definitely think about returning.

Cant recommend this place enough. Great location within a stunning setting. The gated grounds and nicely kept large lawn were fantastic for our dog. Cottage was lovely, nice and warm and was equipped with everything you might need. Owners were friendly and inviting and had plenty of recommendations for places to visit. Definitely recommended.
