This beautiful cottage is ideally located in the peaceful village of Ulgham close to the stunning Northumberland beaches of Cresswell, Druridge Bay, Amble and Warkworth. Ulgham features plenty of tranquil country lanes, ideal for walking and cycling, as well as a children’s park. The popular market town of Morpeth, with its range of food and fashion shops, restaurants, and pubs is only 10 minutes away. You can enjoy day trips out and about to explore the whole of Northumberland's many famous local attractions: the beaches, Alnwick Castle, the Alnwick Garden, Bamburgh Castle, the wide open spaces of the stunning surrounding countryside, Cragside House, the Northumberland National Park and Dark Skies, and a host of friendly seaside villages.

On entering this lovely single-level holiday cottage you will find yourself in the light and attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Tastefully furnished and with comfy seating, Smart TV, DVD, CD/radio, iPod dock and with a stone fireplace with an open fire, the welcoming and cosy lounge is an ideal space to relax in. You will also find a charming dining area, with seating for 4 guests. Heading over to the stylishly designed kitchen you will find it fully equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, under counter fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, toaster, washing machine, tumble dryer and cafetiere. Exploring this delightful property further you will find two comfortable bedrooms. There’s a master bedroom with a king-size bed, and a twin room, which can be made up into a super-king-size double on request. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the corner bath and a WC.

Stepping outside, you can unwind and dine alfresco in the charming courtyard with outdoor furniture. The cottage is set in the owners' extensive grounds, there are large, mature and attractive gardens to the rear of the property along with the added benefit of use of  a 4 person outdoor hot tub. There is ample parking available for two cars on the driveway.

I would really recommend the cottage. It is a cosie home from home with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen that includes a dishwasher, super comfy beds and a jacuzzi bath as well as a hot tub. The owners are especially lovely lnd left us an amazing welcome basket. Location wise for us was great because it waRead mores in a great location for day trips to Alnwick, Seahouses and Newcastle as many more tourist spots. Would definitely go back. Hide

This lodge far exceeded expectations. It was immaculately clean, very cozy and with every facility you could possibly need. The owner; Clare could not have been any more welcoming and helpful and the welcome pack was extremely generous and felt like a real treat! The rooms were very tastefully decorated and bedding/towels all matching and the fire Read morein the living room gave a lovely atmosphere. This was our first cottage holiday and we were so impressed. This is a spacious property with everything you could possibly need. 2 ensuite bedrooms with shower over bath and not to high to climb in. Kitchen has everything you would need and possibly more! We were met by owner Dawn who lives in main house and she had baked a lovely cake along with Read morea bottle of wine. Bread, jam and roses. We only used the hot tub once but it was a fab hour with wine!! Quiet village location with local traffic only Hide

A very clean and comfortable stay set in a quiet village. We especially enjoyed the garden, garden swing and hot tub. There is also an excellent playground just round the corner. We had a wonderful welcome to our holidaycottage " The Carriage House " Algham, Julia the owner greeted us warmly, we loved the look and feel of the cottage on entering, fresh flowers and a lovely caked baked by Julia, plus, wine tea etc. The beds were very comfortable, we made use of the hot tub in the evening and the beautiful grounds of the ownRead moreers home. Morpeth was a short drive away with its high street shops, banks, many restaurants cafe. We had a day out to Alnwick where there was a market in the square, lots of interesting shops, we had a coffee in the Swan Hotel, an interesting hotel, the Olympic Dining Room is decked out with the sister ship of the Titanic, Bamburgh another short drive is a must see and visit with its amazing Castle which over looks the beach, the beach was awarded with the best beach in uk, there are also interesting shops, tea room and pub restaurants. The week went far to quickley. If you like a village setting in a lovely carraiage house for a holiday with lots of places to visit near by this is the place to stay. A beautiful cottage with everything you need for a home from home. Dawn is a wonderful hostess and very discreet. A lovely surprise when we got there fresh flowers, tea, milk, a bottle of wine, fudge and a delicious home made cake. Thank you for providing a great place for our break away.

Well- equipped, clean, tidy and in a great location to visit all of Northumberland and beyond. Hot tub in beautiful gardens, suntrap courtyard, close to Morpeth for all shopping needs and supermarket just down the road. Lots of information on where to visit and eat out. Owners could not be more helpful, and had a really good knowledge of the area.

A very clean and comfortable cottage. Although the hot tub is round the back of the owners house we had sole use of it...we loved it. Plenty of walks from the cottage. Great places not too far away to travel, Amble we enjoyed and even Morpeth was worth a visit, but there are many more. Very clean, warm, comfortable and welcoming. Dawn had provided milk, bread, wine and baked a cake for us, very much appreciated. We were able to travel out and about to Morpeth, Alnwick and the coast as well as train to Newcastle. The only thing that cannot be ordered is the good weather and it did rain.....a lot!! Thoroughly enjoyed our week it was 5 star all around from the cleanliness to the lovely comfy bed, jacuzzi bath and cosy lounge. The wifi signal was brilliant and we made full use of the smart TV. It is an ideal location for visiting Northumberland both costal and inland. Hosts were very friendly and we loved our welcome gifts!

One of the best cottages we have visited. Everything was beautiful , there was wine,teabags bread,milk,fudge even and box of tissues left by Dawn on are arrival so we could make a cup of tea before we unpacked .

A really lovely stay; the cottage was extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed. Dawn was really accommodating, any requests we had wasnt too much trouble. Beds were lovely - we slept so well! The location is ideal; so close to all of the fabulous Northumberland favourites! Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommend this cottage.
