Located directly next to this long, sandy beach is the quiet seaside village of Cresswell. This lovely spot on the Northumberland coast is great for beach walks with the family and dog from the house, picnics in the sand dunes, bird watching at nearby Cresswell Nature Reserve, and you may even see dolphins swimming about off-shore. Visit the ancient Pele tower on its open days for some interesting local history, pop into the ice cream parlour for a treat, and stroll to the beach café (0.3 miles) for lunch. Druridge Bay Country Park (7 miles) has a circular walk around the lake, beautiful woodland, a children’s play park, a visitor centre, and of course, the lovely beach. Drive to Amble’s friendly port (9.2 miles) for the marina, boat trips to Coquet Island's bird sanctuary, shops, pubs, great seafood restaurants, an ice cream parlour, and fish and chips.

Step through the front door of this welcoming terraced property set over three floors and into the hallway. Head through to the bright and airy lounge with comfortable seating set around the cosy wood burner. After a day out in the fresh air, settle back and unwind with your favourite drink to read a book or watch a movie on Smart TV. A door leads into the spacious open-plan kitchen/diner with a Smart TV, bar stools at the kitchen island, and everything the family chefs will need to prepare drinks, snacks, and meals for all the family. There is a generous table to enjoy sociable dinners together and bi-folding doors allow natural light to flood in and open out to the patio and the stone steps up to the garden so you can experience outside/inside living in the warmer months. Off the kitchen, there is a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and there is a separate shower room. On the first floor, you will find three bedrooms. At the front, there is a spacious king-size bedroom with plenty of storage for your things, a TV and a view of Pele Tower. There is a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) and a bunk bedroom, perfect for the children, and both of these bedrooms have sea views, There is also a family bathroom on this floor with a bath, separate shower cubicle, and WC. On the second floor, there is a king-size bedroom with a TV set in the eaves with Velux-style windows set in the sloping ceiling. A step down takes you to the bed and the wow-factor window at the front. You can relax on the comfortable seating inside and take in the stunning sea views and ever-changing light and lie in bed watching the sunrise over the water. A glazed door opens to the covered balcony with two reclining seats, the perfect place to start the day with your morning coffee, fresh air, and fabulous sea views. The en-suite has a bath with a shower attachment and WC and completes the accommodation.

Outside, walk up the stone steps to the outdoor seating area which overlooks the wide beach, perfect for children and dogs to play on the sand. There is plenty of garden furniture and a BBQ for fun, al fresco dining. For shade and on cooler days, there is a small summer house with seating where you can sit with a book and a drink, admire the sea views, or have a quiet snooze. A gate from the garden leads directly to the beach just metres away so the children can play on the sand while you watch from comfortable seating.

We had a fabulous week. Very comfortable, spacious and brilliant location. We like to cook at home so used the slow cooker as well as baked cakes and puddings. Found baking trays and dishes really useful. Extra blankets were useful at this time of year. It was very clean and tidy.

Beautiful, well equipped holiday home. The views were stunning and we loved sitting out by the fire pit even in February! Very lucky to spit some seals out swimming and plenty of other wildlife.

Loved the house. Perfectly positioned and so comfortable. It was a joy to go back to after some great walks in the area. Enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the sea come in as the sun went down.

An amazing property in a superb location. The beach and the ice cream shop were big hits with the children. The facilities in the house are spot on and made our week in Cresswell home from home.

This was a great cottage with the beach at the bottom of the garden. It had everything we needed for a comfortable weeks stay even when the sun was not out and the ice cream shop was an added bonus.

Beautiful property. Spacious and bright. Fabulous location. Good to have dog bowls available and utility area/hose outside works really well to clean dog off before entering the house. Toys and books for children were a great addition for families. Kitchen well equipped, including plastic cutlery etc for children and plenty of glasses/mug/ plates.

It is a beautiful and spacious holiday home. Great attention to detail has been shown to provide a tastefully decorated home with many excellent touches. The large well equipped kitchen and dining area enabled the family to dine comfortably with sufficient space for three cooks to work together in preparing and cooking our meals. The gardens and ouRead moretdoor seating enabled an excellent panoramic view out over the beautiful beech. We really enjoyed our time there. Hide
