Completely refurbished this impressive house has so many things to do both inside and out. Perfect for a big family get together there is a hot tub, ample social space and every bedroom is an ensuite. Conveniently located to explore the local area on foot, or places like Beamish Museum and the North Pennines are a short drive away.

Located on a country lane, with lovely views over open farmland and within easy reach of the village amenities less than 1.5 miles away, for shops, pubs, restaurants, and the Lanchester Valley Walk from the village car park. There is a network of walking routes passing right by the gate, including connections to the famous Coast-to-Coast walk. Spend memorable family days at Hall Hill Farm, Diggerland, and the Beamish Living Museum of the North (7 miles). Durham’s Cathedral City is a must for river walks, museums, food and shopping. Newcastle’s vibrant city, Quayside dining and fantastic shopping are less than 15 miles away and Hexham and Barnard Castle less than 27 miles. Head into the North Pennines AONB for a range of scenic walking and cycling routes.

Access the property via the back door and come into the impressive and sociable, open-plan kitchen/diner where you can plan and cook an exceptional family feast for that special occasion with an electric hob and double oven, full-size fridge, freezer, dishwasher, combi microwave oven, a wine fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, and a Smart TV to keep the cook entertained. Sit at the kitchen island with a drink or breakfast and your dog will love snoozing in the purpose-built doggy alcove. The warm utility room is ideal for drying wet clothing and has a washing machine and separate dryer. There is also a downstairs WC. The dining area is a great space for entertaining with a large table where you can all enjoy leisurely dinners sitting together. Head into the conservatory with comfortable seating where children can play, or you can sit with your morning coffee and a good book, admiring wonderful views of the garden and countryside beyond. There are two lounges to spread out in making more areas for all the family to enjoy their own space. One of the lounges has comfortable three and four-seater sofas to unwind in and watch the Smart TV. The stone feature fireplace houses a electric fire. There is also a small piano you can play on and a secret Harry Potter-style 'play bedroom' with a little bed which the children will love. The second lounge has two more sofas and a Smart TV. Heading upstairs there are two king-size bedrooms, one with a freestanding bath where you can treat yourself to a peaceful bubble bath, plus an en-suite shower and WC. The other king-size bedroom has an en-suite bath with shower and WC and Juliette balcony. There are two super-king-size zip-and-link bedrooms (which can be made up as twins on request) one with a glazed door to a Juliette balcony and both have an en-suite shower and WC. The family bedroom also has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as twins on request) plus a day bed for an additional guest. Enjoy a lazy morning in bed admiring the views or sit for a quiet read. This bedroom has an en-suite shower room with WC.

Outside there is a spacious, enclosed, lawned garden with mature shrubs and trees, a dining area with a large, outdoor table and chairs, a seating area with a BBQ on the side patio close to the hot tub, and a further seating area with a fire pit can be found in an elevated spot in the garden to take advantage of the views. Enjoy fun and bubbles in the hot tub with views across the front garden. Parking is off-road for four cars.

Just arrived back from a weeks stay in Meadow View House.I couldnt think of a more beautiful house to stay in.it is so well equipped with everything that we needed ,and everything is of a high standard.The touches all around the house are beautiful.My family were touched by the welcome pack ,and the welcome pack for the dog such a special thought.MRead morey grandchildren loved the toys and kept them amused for hours. ,that along with the great views made for my family a great holiday.Patricia Simmons. Very friendly welcome by the owners who provide a welcome pack including local Durham coffee and marshmallows to toast on the firepit. The property is spotless, tastefully decorated and has all amenities for different occasions. Beautiful gardens surround the property which has some lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The welcome we got when we arrived was warm and the immediate help we had when the water main to the area burst a few days later was much appreciated. This property is embedded in beautiful countryside with stunning views over Durham moorland, yet within an easy walk to the small town of Lanchester and it's pubs, restaurants and other facilities. We had a fabulous time in the house. The set-up accommodated our party of 4 couples, with everybody having an en suite. The facilities were next to none, we had everything we needed, from kitchen utensils, BBQ utensils, games, pen and paper. Contained a quirky room or two which added interest to the accommodation. We Read more='mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"'>have had a lovely, relaxing stay following completing Rat Race - The Wall 2024 (70 miles from Carlisle to Newcastle). This house has been the perfect place to chill and recover - especially the hot tub.

Great place to stay for family and friends to get together. We all had a great time at Easter weekend 2024. Kids found lots to things to keep them happy. This is probably the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in! Everything is top quality, from the decor, furnishings and equipment to the warm welcome and helpful owners. Lucy went above and beyond anything we could have expected when we had a family member who unexpectedly needed some TLC. The cottage is spacious and extremely comfortable. A fantastic property for our annual family Christmas gathering. The house is extremely well equipped, spacious yet cosy with a variety of well thought out spaces to enjoy. Absolutely fabulous cottage. Exceptionally equipped, there was everything and more you could possibly need. Very spacious, there was a party of 10 of us for a birthday celebration, this was the perfect location. The owner had thought of everything and also keen to find out if there were any improvements they could make. A superbly equipped house. This property genuinely is suitable for 10 people. The kitchen is very well equipped and Chefs will not be disappointed! If you are lucky with the weather the outdoor dining experience is a treat and a sundowner around the fire pit a must. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners to make your stay perfect. This was a wonderful fully equipped house you basically wanted for nothing. Rooms were very spacious and some lovely surprises of two unique rooms. With great living space downstairs and five generous en-suite bedrooms upstairs, Meadow View provided excellent holiday accommodation for the whole family. Meadow View is a top-rate holiday house with a designer flare! All the furnishings and equipment are to a very high standard and it was a pleasure to stay there. We are a group of friends who holiday together regularly and this was the best house so far. This was one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed at . We were a multi-generational family group and the 5 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms was perfect . We stayed just before Christmas and the house was beautiful, well laid out, bedrooms were marvellous. Loved the ensuite in the cupboard and the cupboard under the stairs. Very, very cold outside and the house was lovely and warm. Great house for a family gathering. We have a lovely time.
