A little about you

I’ve been with the company since March 2011 after a long career in the recruitment industry and a happy spell working abroad with Thomson Holidays. Returning to live and work in the North East made me realise just how appealing our beautiful region is - with its expanses of natural landscape, golden sandy beaches and vibrant cities. The people here have always been welcoming, so holidaymakers staying in one of our accommodation options are guaranteed to meet some lovely locals and I’m very proud of that.

A little about you

I joined the team in 2010 after previously working in marketing for a number of years in the travel and hospitality industries. I’ve always been passionate about the North East and it’s a very special place for me. Love days out in Newcastle and by the coast, particularly Tynemouth where there is so much to see and do - especially for families. You can visit the Pirate Maze, Lost World Crazy Golf and of course Blue Reef Aquarium, followed by delicious fish and chips.

What’s your favourite activity in Newcastle?

I love a trip to the theatre or heading into the city for a meal at any of the amazing restaurants scattered throughout Newcastle.

What’s your favourite restaurant or pub in Newcastle?

There are too many places to choose from! For food, I’d have to say Jamie’s Italian, then head around the corner to The Botanist for cocktails.

Where’s your favourite place to visit in Newcastle?

When it comes to family days out, we’re spoilt for choice. We always have a great time at Seven Stories and usually head to the Ouseburn Farm next door. If you’re visiting by train, the Centre for Life is just along the road from Newcastle Central Station.

What’s your number 1 top tip for those planning to stay in Newcastle?

There’s so much to see and do in and around Newcastle. Make the most of your city break and explore outside the city too, as both coast and countryside are within easy reach and provide great days out for the whole family.
